Kongakut River - 10 day Arctic National Wildlife Refuge Rafting Safari. Explore Alaska's remote Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) by raft on the "river of caribou". Our trip coincides with the annual migration of the 130,000-strong Porcupine caribou herd and passes through some of the world's most pristine wilderness.
Lake Creek - 7 day Whitewater Rafting and Fishing Adventure. Our favorite fly-in wilderness adventure river, great combination exciting whitewater and great Alaska fishing. Lake Creek offers almost continuous Class II/III whitewater with a few Class IV rapids, five species of salmon, rainbow trout and arctic grayling.
Chulitna River - 4 day Denali Raft Adventure. An excellent family adventure and sampling of Alaska's best wilderness and geography at a casual pace. We travel through Denali State Park, upper Susitna Valley and take out near Trapper Creek, a historic gold mining town. |

 Seward Water Taxi service is available with our Alaska sea kayak rentals. Backcountry Safaris is happy to offer a complete Seward sea kayaking rental package that includes water taxi service to Kenai Fjords National Park, Aialik Bay, Bear Glacier, Resurrection Bay and Day Harbor.
If you're needing transportation to and from Seward we can also include Alaska railroad, train and bus transportation to and from Seward in your trip package.
Seward lodging before or after your trip is also available at out Seward Birch Tree Cottage or a Breeze Inn. All can be included in your complete trip package.
A Bear Glacier trip is great do-it-youself destination. The Bear Glacier water taxi trip includes a birding and wildlife tour on the return. Sea kayak rentals are available at our Bear Glacier Adventure Camp
Due to the risk of cold water immersion and hypothermia we highly recommend paddlers wear cold water protected clothing such as a wet suit or dry suit. Dry suits are available to rent if needed.
